burnt out?

I'm sure you guys have played some sort of seamless game whether it was gta, oblivion, or world of warcraft.

My concern is, for those who haven't experienced things going on all the time without your control, do you think you will feel burnt out, or do you think this is something you can get used to?

At first I was afraid of having to "check up on" every sim family I have created because I feel like I'm going to miss something.

Now I remind myself that all the responsibility isn't going to be on us(unless we want it) because sims will be able to take on a lot of their own responsibilities.

I want to be able to control some things without being burnt out trying to run all over the game checking in on different families at once, but I also don't want to just sit there and watch my sims' lives unfold without my help.

I will get used to this seamless stuff.  I am a big video game fan, but a lot of games don't have people growing old with you and have special times in their lives.

Today, there are families that I would like to keep up with, then I make families that I would stop caring about.

I think that keeping up with families wouldn't be a big issue.  A lot of people do not play every family they make.  In TS3, I will oftenly check on families I am interested in, and just see about the other families.

I still don't have no trust in the intelligence of the sims all by theirselves, until I see it in a developer video or something.

i dont think it will burn me out at all. i tend to focus on one family i favoritize my sims..
so i'll probably have one family i focus on for a long time then another and so on. so i think i'll adapt to the change just fine.

That makes sense.

I guess because the game did stop at one time and in order for anything to happen, you had to play them.

I have so many families that I want to make but I suppose I could play one, and then throw another in to peak my interest when the other one dies down.
And if I'm not interested in the next generations.
Either way, I'm glad because I know they will age whether I play them or not.

And when I want to come in and change  things around I can.

I could also create neighbors and then transfer between the two.

Even stick some in the bin if they have one.

yeah that would be a good idea..making all your families live by each other so its a faster transition between them.

And I want to do the good old marrying the girl/not next door cliché

Man I cannot wait to play this game! I hope these months fly by.

Before we know it it will be fall and we will be halfway until the release!  Then I'm gonna make a countdown. That is if they don't burn US all out with no updates and a pushed back release.

I already preordered my game at gamestop and put a little bit of money down.

anyhow..
yeah how cute would it be if two neighbors fell in love i could picture them talking on the phone and looking at each other from their bedrooms accross from each other..

Aww that is something cute to day dream about.

Then, when they argue, break up and see other people over the years, I can stop the wedding like in the movies and have one ruin the wedding because they only really loved eachother! (sigh)

Well, hopefully they will fix the secuRom issue and decide not to put it in ts3.

If so, I hope its not such a chore or issue because I've invested far too much into the sims to let that stop me from enjoying my all time favorite game.
