The Sims 3 [computer questions]
Hey everyone last year i bought the Sims 2 for my birthday and i was so excited to be able to play it. When i got home and was ready to install it it would install so i could play it.  It would go up to 23% and then stop. I  WOULD LOVE the Sims 3 to work on every computer. It seems like the Sims 3 wont work on old or middle aged computers. Please Sims 3 make it work on every computer even if it has viruses or anything. I have some question for ea: Would it work on every computer? If the computer is old will it keep pausing or be  very slow?

wHAT do u think? Smile

Re: The Sims 3 [computer questions]
I wouldn't really believe what EA says. What's granny computers to them/? Yes, maybe it'll run on granny computers, but I bet it won't be much fun, I'll tell you that. The graphics will probably be poor and it will run too slow to be enjoyable.

Re: The Sims 3 [computer questions]
Granny's computer is probably a windows 98 SE and you'll able to play it with the graphics on very low, with shading, reflections, details, and the fading distance turned off.

My friends grandmother has a VERY high tech computer that cost more than 4,000 dollars by itself, and more than 10,000 dollars for all these updates and RAM.

Re: The Sims 3 [computer questions]
computer speed is also determined by how much free space you have on that computer
when TS3 comes out i'm going to delete TS2 from my computer cause i probebly won't play it after TS3 comes out
and i have all eps othen than pets and H&M fashion and on my hard drive TS2 take 9 GB plus there is the EA folder in "my documents" where all your game progress is kept that for me is arround 3 GB so with AL and i'll probebly download more stuff till next year by the time TS3 come out TS2 will take close to 15GB of space on my computer and if TS3 take 3 GB (sims 2 is 2.7) than i wil remove 12 GB from my computer so it'll be faster

Re: The Sims 3 [computer questions]
Well, I am betting that Sims 3 will not run on Windows 98, sorry guys.

Perhaps XP or 2000 at the latest.

They claim to be making the requirements much lower so that the game can be played on a wide variety of computers. Like others said, what is low specs to EA? I suppose we should just wait and see.

Re: The Sims 3 [computer questions]
I agree.

To be honest, I don't really see how anyone could even consider putting TS3 on a computer lower than XP. It's just not going to work. And like I said, even if it does, it will be so irratatingly slow that it won't be fun. That's just my 50 pence. Wink
