you don't exactly get a lot of money

when i made my sim I decided to make it's lifetime wish earning money from wealthy spouses and set him a wish to see the wealthy spouse ghost. Little did i know that you only get about 3 grand and you can't move in with them. What?

But i thought if you moved in all of the family it would meen more money. i was wrong again. Now I've got a family full of snobs and snobby babies. Ahhhhhhhh

At the start of the game, with your salary levels being low, it pays to find other ways of getting money.

Scavenging for minerals, bugs and seeds to sell on gets you some money (though with seeds the real money is in planting them and growing a garden, so long as you have the patience to do it!).

Most evil way - when your Sim becomes elderly, make them paint pictures daily and keep the paintings until they die, as they become more valuable then

I made a house with a room full of dead family relatives painting. I never looked to see that there was an seperate value
