Intense Lag!!

Yes there's the ErrorTrap mod also by Twallan. It can correct script and object errors.

The culprit is often something that the game tries to load over and over again but never succeeds, like when I installed CC meant for Sims 2 by mistake. But it can be some other type of file or files as well.

If you have Master Controller you can also try to reset the town. It helps if an unknown sim or object is stuck.
