screenshot problem
Hi,

I'm currently having a problem with the sims 3 in game screenshot function. When I press "c" to take a picture it recognises it, but when I go to see if it actually saved or not it hasn't. I have recently installed cc, but that was only hair and the only other thing I downloaded was the Lunar Lakes file that earth mama gave us (yes I downloaded it). Lunar lakes seems to be the most probable cause of the problem.

Edit: I have since uninstalled Lunar Lakes and deleted it, which haven't solved the problem. Also there was that recent patch which might be the cause, is there anyway I could down-grade the game, without re-installing the sims 3?

I really don't want to have to cancel my new legacy! Sad

RE: screenshot problem
Ollie, do you have a Mac at all? This is something that is reported specifically by Mac users.

Also, do you have any game mods? If you left your mods in when you patched that can sometimes cause issues?

RE: screenshot problem
Yes I have a macbook pro version 10.6.8, which is what im using for the sims 3.

And no I have never ever used any mods for the sims 3 only cc.

Edit I have found a work-around for now, but it's still greatly appreciated if someone found out how to make the in game capture work again.

RE: screenshot problem
Every time EA patch the game, this appears to screw up for the Mac users. I'll see what I can find out from elsewhere to help.

This is going to sound really silly, but are you playing Sims 3 in Windows 7 mode (ie that pretend PC wotsit Mac users get)?

If so, it's an inherent problem with playing the game using Windows 7 on a Mac - but the way around it is really simple - play the game in "Windowed" mode (ie. not full screen).

Press ALT and ENTER together on your Mac keyboard in game and it should take you to playing the game in a Window. You can now screenshot away until your heart's content.

RE: screenshot problem
I don't believe I am using windows 7 on my mac? I play the game in windows mode already to be able to use my "work around" and I'm pretty sure I tried to screenshot whilst in it and it didn't work. :/
