One-time posters are an annoyance.

Re: One-time posters are an annoyance.
But saying that some might be very busy.
Think you would have to really look at their stats to see who really should be removed.
I have on some web forums been away from them up to a month as some of the time I am busy or PC not working.

I think they are not doing any harm.

I agree with you, I do not think all members that don't post or post very little should be removed from the forums. I do however think it's unfair that so many people introduce themselves in the Introductions section, letting everyone spend their time greeting them very politely into the commnuity, knowing that they have no intention of posting, or, posting very little. When I say little, I'm meaning under 10 posts or something. If they don't intend to post as regularly as they can (I don't mean they have to be like us, on here hours and hours a day, however a least post a few times a week) then they shouldn't bother to introduce themselves if we're never going to get to know them. That's just what I think. Wink Smile

I agree 100%.

Pauluch - Have I said "flat out" a lot or something?

Can you people try to agree with me for once?

I tried to cheer her up with one of my freshly-picked Karmas but she doesn't seem impressed. Sad
Well, I hope she cheers up soon and gets posting like her normal self. I miss Simmy! Sad

Re: One-time posters are an annoyance.
I don't really understand what harm they are doing though. Its not like you notice them. Does it crowd the server or something?

Re: One-time posters are an annoyance.
Not really. They just hog usernames and such.

They take up space, basically. But, as I keep saying, they don't really hurt us. So I see no reason to delete them all.

The problem that I think Cassie was outlining is that members introduce themselves and then disappear. THAT's annoying.
