hmm plus my laptop does the same thing if im not active for idk twenty minutes or so it saves the screen..and then when i come back i have to turn it back on and sign in to my vista..if that makes sense.

It's probably as we just recognise people from signatures now, and also, the way they post. I barely glance at usernames, only unless I don't recognise sig/writing style.
