simlish
Do you think it will change much?
I don't really remember the simlish in ts1 but some actions in ts2 I knew what was going on without even looking at my screen. "awww nubu" could easily have something to do with a baby. "frim fram" yo me usually let me know that my Sim was aggitated. "Aloo!" could very well mean that a sim is trying get our attention, or something may be blocking its way. "unga, unga!" meant I'm starving! Feed me now! The list could go on. I wonder if they will use the same simlish terms for the same actions or if we get a whole new set of simlish to memorize. I'm wondering with the new trait system, if each trait will have its own simlish with each action, or will it just be the same for all? Because of the trait system, every trait would have to trigger a certain reaction in simlish, but do you think we as players will be able to easily jokingly say something in simlish with all the different trait triggered simlish going around? Re: simlish
To add.there will probably be some simlish we will never hear because we may never have an evil sim or etc. It would be fun to share though, and we will probably relate to a evil sim who lives next door and what he does. But I'm guessing the simlish will be the same for all but the actions just differently.
All sims will probably show the same signs of simlish when they are sad, happy, etc. Because I know they will react differently based on their traits. Yes, I think way too into this and I'm not in the least bit sorry.

Re: simlish
Lol, about the "unga unga" one... It sounds like "Hunga, Hunga!" which is basically hunger! So yeah, I think if they made the Simlish so it was similar to english but wasn't english, but the first and last letter were the same as the english word, it would be a bit of a puzzle to know what they were saying, but wouldn't be TOO hard to understand.
Take the real-life songs when they are put into Simlish, for example; The words actually sound similar to the real song! It's great! I can almost sing along to them all! ![]() |

Re: simlish
I liked simlish in TS1 better. I remember being able to imitiate it much easier than I can for TS2. Also other people that I were friends with had the same thing. Maybe I just tried more because I was younger.

Re: simlish
I always turn the sounds from the game off (except when I'm trying for a baby) so it doesn't bother me much either.

Yea, can you imagine recording everything they do already! Oi vey...plus if they put in say three different voices for each gender and age, then next time we'd just want more variety because the same old three would get boring. |
