Watching TV while on bed?

Watching TV while on bed?
I was on the sims 3 info site looking at the screenshots they have available and i noticed that in one of the screenshots of an overview of a house, in the master bedroom there is a tv located directly in front of a bed. so it got me thinking, will sims be able to watch tv while they lounge on their bed?

i remember trying to make my sims watch tv when the option to lounge on the bed was made available and miserably failing. i'd be happy if they added this feature, little differences like that will definitely make my gameplay experience more realistic Big Grin

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
You can actually watch the telly while lying on the bed, can you not? But I hope they make it more 'realistic', in a sense. They sat very still and kind of motionless (sometimes they would yawn or pull bored faces) while watching telly. I want shock, excitement, laughter, amusement, scaredness, apprehension etc. All the normal emotions you would display while watching different types of programmes.

This is slightly off topic, but it relates to the lack of emotion while lounging in bed. I want there to be different animations for different types of sims...especially when it comes to sexual things. I'm not talking anything graphic here, but I want a really confident sim approaching a partier sim to initiate woohoo differently then two shy sims would. It would also be cool if making out would change based on traits.

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
Just place a telly in front of a bed, get your Sim to relax on the bed, then click on the TV, and then click 'Turn on' and then 'Watch TV' if they don't do so automatically. Wink

EDIT: I completely agree, dejadejavu. I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice if different traits could be reflected on the outside with things like emotion, for example lying on the bed. I really think traits should be the key to how everything works in the game. Different traits should mean a whole different sort of life. Smile

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
Yea, even though we had personality points in the game, all my sims were exactly the same. I would make choices about their life based on the points they had, but they didn't act differently at all. Basically there were three types of people - nice, touchy (rejects certain interactions for no reason), and downright annoying.

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
Yeah. I was super annoyed cause when I had a legacy and there wasn't enough money to make walls, then the person on the bed was watching T.V. and the girl sleeping on the couch kept waking up and falling asleep. Big Grin I was so annoyed!

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
Yeah you can certainly watch tv in bed in sims 2 but it was quite boring to make them do. they just sat there so i agree with what dejadejavu and cassie have said about emotions.

Re: Watching TV while on bed?
It would be cute if they could fall asleep with it on too. There should be some volume control, kiddies could fall asleep while watching cartoons if its turned down.
