A little more brains!
I hate it when my sim always runs toward fires and sprinklers only to get caught in the mess!
Their first reaction would be to help or get help, no? It would also be cool to have a sim pull another sim out of a fire. Samething with drowning... |

Re: A little more brains!
Yes, I completely agree with you there!
I hate it when one of my sims are in the fire itself, and the rest of the family are just screaming "FIRE! FIRE!" and are completely ignoring their relative. They should have better reactions to these things, like they should automatically phone the fire brigade if there isn't an alarm in that room, and then they should, like you said, pull their loved ones back out of the fire. Also, adults should be more responsible, like if the child was in the room, they should grab them and run outside with them, and they should protect the youngsters before themselves. Sims are SO selfish sometimes! Hehe. ![]() |

Re: A little more brains!
Well, Bexi, Sims can actually pick the toddler up and run away from the fire and place the toddler outside.
Nothing as far as I know for the children, though. :-\But I so agree, it annoys me that they all run to the fire. What the hell? That craziness! No one does that unless they're drunk. They should all run to keep the children safe, make sure everyone is away from the fire and then call for help. And they just look like such idiots when they do their panic-dance around the fire. :

Re: A little more brains!
Can they?! Oh...
Well, I never knew that, unless you mean they pick the kid up, walk out the building and put them on the floor... OH MY GOD, I'M AN IDIOT! Ha, I never thought of that. ![]() But yeah, what's with the fire dance? It's not a bonfire, you know...

Re: A little more brains!
Yeah, I was like "WHAT THE HECK?" when mommy Sim just ran off with the toddler. But I was so proud of her for caring about her baby so much, some Sims, I admit, are just not bothered. :
![]() But yes, just please, please let Sims have brains! I think, from what I have read, we'll be getting our wish. They know what to do to get promoted, they know when we're trying to drown them etc... They're going to be intelligent, for once.

Re: A little more brains!
Thank god...
Sometimes sims are such silly billys! ... Yes. But honestly, they are. They never think things through, and in result of that they have one of those tizzies where they turn to the camera and start waving their arms around... Weirdo's! ![]() PLEASSEEEE let them be clever... please? ![]() |

Re: A little more brains!
Pretty please with a sugar-coated cherry on top!
![]() Another thing that was silly of them, and which is now sorted, is their paths. Always moaning about someone or something in their way, when they olny had to make the slightest little turn. I'm so glad this has been chucked!

Re: A little more brains!
Oh yes, I hated it when my sims walked into the same door at the same time and both started stamping their feet because they were angry.
It's like "JUST BE POLITE AND LET THEM THROUGH!" Man... ![]() |

Re: A little more brains!
Did you ever get a panic attack when two sims looked like they were about to collide? I'd be biting my fingernails just waiting for the damage. Sometimes they would surprise me though and get by fine.
I had this one house though that only had one tile of walking space around the stair hallway where the entrances to the bedrooms were. NIGHTMARE! Even though TS2 isn't great with walking paths, do you guys remember TS1? If anything at all, was in their way, you would be stuck watching them fight for ten freaking minutes. |

Re: A little more brains!
Oh, TS1... the joy! :
You have to admit, it did improve a lot since TS1. It was an absolute nightmare. Now it's liveable. And I know exactly what you mean about just knowing exactly what's going to happen when you see two Sims walking toward the same area. It really seems like some are more intelligent than others - some of mine actaully stand back, let the other Sim pass, then continue themselves. But some? Oh no, that's much too hard - they have to make a big catastrophe out of nothing, and in the end, they just forget what they were doing and do somthig else. :
