Chance vs. Choice
How often do you think the chances of sims getting preggers, having twins, (maybe triplets) being a boy or girl, and dominant genes will be?
I know we won't know till we hear more, but its fun to imagine right? What about choice, do you think we will get to choose how much "cheesecake" a sim eats to have twins? Try for baby? Re: Chance vs. Choice
the cheesecake actually works??
I thought it was a joke. its a 50% chance to get eithr boy or girl irl, so thats probably the same case for sims. As fro getting preggers, all you have to do is try for a baby. :

Re: Chance vs. Choice
Yes, the cheesecake works, I played ofb at a friends and it worked. Of course I didn't feed her anything but lol!
I know all of those things you listed, I'm asking about what you think will be the outcome in the sims three. Re: Chance vs. Choice
I think twins and triplets will be in this game, so they will probably boost the chances of twins to make triplets at least not near-impossile. Maybe singletons 75% chance, twins 15% chance and triplets 10% chance. Obviously in general it should be 50/50 chance when it comes to the gender of a baby, but some families should have more chances of one gender than the other, because that's the way it is in real life. But I really hope they take into consideration that some races and families (mine included) nearly always give birth to children with the same hair/eye colour, despite what's dominant and what's not.

Re: Chance vs. Choice
I agree with Cassie, because in real life you can't choose what gender your kid is. I know that yes some people make it so they have a certain amount of kids at once (I know quadruplets) but I think it should be chance. I like the idea of not knowing what I'm getting. Maybe they can make it where u can choose to choose what u get or u can choose to find out when the sims gives birth. That's just my opinion though.

Cassie you're killing me!! I already have way too many twins. If they add triplets into the mix, I would die... Especially at those percentages! That's when I would use the constant aging mechanism to raise those kids right on up. I think it should be 10% twins, and 2% triplets. Then they should make cheats for the people that want them. In real life, triplets are freaking rare. Here are the actual statistics: Twins 1 in 90 live births Triplets 1 in 8,100 live births Quadruplets 1 in 729,000 live births Quintuplets 1 in 65,610,000 live births I don't think the odds should be made that high, because then people like me will have to deal with them way too often. Cheats can be made for the others. Sorry guys that I'm so bitter, but I just hate having a perfect family and then all of a sudden I have to move them out of the house because they just had twins. Plus, my family never has money for that, so it forces me to cheat or have them die. |

And I got them rarely too. I only like to get them naturally - they don't feel quite so special with the aid of cheesecake and cheats.
