no more pleasants no more pleasantview
i am almost positive that the story's of the isms 2 such as the peasants and the Goths will not be brought back into the sims 3 because...
the sims 3 will no longer have a pleasant view :O but keep in mind that this is the sims 3 its pretty much going to be a clean slate in the way that it will come along with its own set of premade family's with there own story's

Re: no more pleasants no more pleasantview
i don't think i'll miss any premades too much - except the brokes, lothario, most of the riverblossom hills families (mostly the greenman's), and the bell family from desiderata valley. but I won't miss them too much.
(except maybe Rose Greenman :'( :'( :'( )

But i'll be perfectly content with some new stories and families (new beginnings, new families) and I'll just love to play my Underwood family (i'm gonna have to remake them for about the 6th time!) but this time my computer better not lose the files, or my dad better not touch my computer, or I better not delete the neighbourhood that i forgot they were in.
no. they will be completely fresh and new, and with over 50 generations by the 4th Ep. (not likely, but i might as well set goals!) Big Grin

I won't be too mad if the premades aren't in there, but still... those poor Goths, I want the mystery to continue or unfold or something but I just want the Goths to be in it forever.

I really want to know what happened with the Goths! I liked all the drama of Pleasantview...

If they don't actually have those storylines they better have ones equally as good.

Re: no more pleasants no more pleasantview
Me too, Pleasantview was the best premade neighbourhood in TS2, I feel. It had drama (well, the best drama TS2 could muster up, anyway), and I liked that, and I enjoyed seeing the TS1 characters again in 3D.

But I have a feeling that we will be seeing some amazing stroylines in TS3! Bring it on! Big Grin

Re: no more pleasants no more pleasantview
I'm really excited for the goal drived aspect of the sims. I've been wanting that for a long time. I think its perfect because you can totally ignore that aspect of the game if you just want to go on your merry way.

I wonder what sort of tasks there will be. It would be cool if they had that in TS2 and there was an actual way to solve the mystery of Bella Goth or something.

Re: no more pleasants no more pleasantview
Meh. I won't miss them. I'm sure EA will come up with much better stories and the traits to compliment them. (grins evily)

New 17" Laptop with wireless printer/scanner combo-$1,400
Sims 3 Pre-order-$70
College Books-$500
Being envied by your friends while they cram for exams and you play TS3- PRICELESS!!!!

Forget Visa, Mastercard, and American Express- it pays to Discover!!!!

Re: no more pleasants no more pleasantview
Speaking of Bella... I wonder if Sims could want to solve a mysterious death?

As for the goals, well obviously there needs to be small and large goals so we can fulfill the little ones easy enough, and if we're up for a challenge (which every now ad then will be handy) then there needs to be large ones that can need a lot of effort or take a lot of time. I can't really think of any examples for types of goals. Maybe if teens have proms their could be competition to get the best dress. And tasks such as... erm.... kid Sims could have to was the pots or clean their room before they get ungrounded. Meh, you can see my brain is burning, I am not creative this afternoon. {no}
