Why don't Sims blink?

It's something that's always bothered me.

So I thought I'd ask if in Sims 3 they actually blink, not blinking for a really really long time could cause retinal damage to my Sim.  :'(

LOL i sat here wondering the same thing...like did I really truly see my sim blink or did i assume they were blinking because when they stand still 'breathing' it seems as if their eyes get squintier for a brief moment, like a blink? lol oh wow >_< Or perhaps they blink in CAS? wowies now i gotta go load my game to check

Sims do blink. I don't know if your graphics aren't great but yes they do blink. Zoom into their eyes they blink like every 10 seconds or so in CAS and in game.

sims  blink...what  game do u have?in sims 1 sims couldnt blink.

I thought Simmies blinked? I'm pretty sure they blink :-\

They blink in 3 or 5 minutes....that scares me because I can't keep my eyes open that long D:
