What are the chances that we will get holidays, or fairs, parties, and celebrations in ts3?

If holidays are too much to add in, what about occasional town meetings, or town fairs and parades where sims could all gather and have a good time. Maybe the holidays could be set depending on what country the simmer resides. Like, not every country celebrates China's new year.

Because of ts2 "freeze" gameplay, the days of the week went by and nothing exciting ever happened unless it was a birthday, yet no one knew about it until it came time to plan a party or blow out the candles.

Since the 'Hood will be seamless, there should be a little spice thrown in.

Sims getting ready for a big holiday like Chistmas and just as the snow starts falling, you peep out your sims window and everyone (who doesn't hate it) are all out xmas shopping for the big day in which they hide the presents in their inventory or jeep hehe.

I remember seeing a calendar on the wall in that pic showcasing the inside of a sims home not too far from the ice and water making fridge.
And they did say lots will be happening in the 'nhood

As much as I'm looking forward to a busy sims 3 game, I would think it may get a bit boring and back to ts2 "routine" if nothing ever really happened in the 'Hood.

What do you guys think? Any ideas?

I like that idea. Sounds awesome.

The only thing with Christmas, is not everyone celebrates it. Perhaps a "Holiday" Season instead of Christmas.

I think having holidays like Christmas would be awesome since we'll have a seamless neighborhood! It would work so well. Great idea! {yes}

Christmas would be the best , they could have like a tree lighting ceremony and sing carols.I love that idea.I love thanksgiving and holloween too.

Love the idea..  and they could have TS3 reconize things like hanukkah.  Or let you choose or something..  But I think it would be cool to throw block parties etc

I think they'll have Christmas as the only holiday. People who say they won't have holidays like Christmas, well, they already had the TS2 Holiday Stuff Pack and that was all about Christmas, so they could do it in TS3 too. However there are going to be years in TS3, and I do wonder if that's a calendar for years. I know that's not how calendars work here, but in the Sims world, it might.

Right, well I explained it earlier, not everyone celebrates American holidays so based on the language version of your game, it could be preset or you could choose.

I'm excited for the years thing, it'll be good to share about what year your in, or how many generations off from your very first sim with pics to prove it.
