The Sims 3 for mac
[color=pink]OMG I can't wait for the release of the sims 3 {lol} but the one thing I am rather sad about is that there is as of yet no release date for Mac, i've looked all around, talked to ppl, and still have come up with nothing else but that it won't be released at the same time as pc. the anticipation is [shadow=red,left]killing[/shadow] me!!!!!!! {cursing}

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
The Sims 3 for Mac will not be released until about 1 year after the PC release. {no} It's not fair to avid Sim fans that use Mac's.

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
That is too long.

I have a Windows, but for those who have Macs, what is the hold up?

All EA has to do is change some of the controls, like ctrl + click for right click, instead of just right clicking on the mouse, but probably it is more complicated than that, like programming for the two is different.

Too bad they can't work on both versions at the same time, but that may cause confusion, or a further release date.

Shoo...By knowing how impaitient I am if I had a Mac, I would go buy a Windows, but isn't there a thing that you can play windows software on Mac...

(looks on google)

here are a few links, but Idk if they aren't foolproof.

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
As I said, they are not foolproof. Idk if they might work or not.

They also are not illegal:

1. You are not downloading the actual Windowa software (Windows 2000, XP, etc,--those costs)
2. They are programs that let you play Wondows games on your Mac, without having to get another computer
2. They are legal, because they are not an actual program or game that costs being downloaded for free
4. It is just a windows emulator, there are other emulators out there: GBA, SNES, and others out there. The emulators are legal, the games you can download and play for them are only legal if you own the game yourself.
5. Since you can pop in a CD to play TS3, it will be legal--it can't run downloaded games.

The main purpose is to enable Mac users to play Windows games, because some don't come out on Windows at all, or like TS3, a much longer wait.

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
what EA have to do is to test run it on mac computers the graphics i think are much different and so are the systems so they have to do a lot before running it on a mac comp 1st. Remeber they dnt use the same system operator. But they should do all of thast at the same time but it may cause delay. that is why they release the MAC version a lot later

FAQs
Aren't you too old to watch disney?
1st and for most no one is too old to watch anything or do anything. I am in No rush to grow up. And disney is more interesting than anyother program there is.

why do u like sims?
Becuase it is too fun and i can t live without it Big Grin

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
{jawdrop} {stretcher}u cant be serious, 1 YEAR?!?!?!?!? not to sound rude or anything(but you know the old saying cut once measure twice) but are you sure? because if so that would be a very upsetting thing to hear :'( and it doesn't really make since because the sims 2 release was only 6 months if im not mistaken....

Re: The Sims 3 for mac
I don't believe it'll be a whole year. I was speaking to my Dad about it (cos I also have a MAC) and he said it'll probably be about 4-6 months. But it COULD Be longer and it COULD be shorter. He also said try to think of the positives. He said that if they release it on PC and get feedback about a problem, or maybe it's a bit slower than they had planned, they can fix it so it runs better on MAC, if you get me.
I'm not saying it WILL be better, I'm just trying to stay positive lol Smile
