I was reading through simsfans.com and musician is a career
so that gave me an immediate flashback
"The Job that You're sim has affects him/her for example if you're sim is a soldier and he's walking down the
street sims will salute him "
I guess if you're Far in musician career sims love to hear you sing so if they find out
you're singing in a community concert then they're gonna go  .
or maybe if you're a celeb chef and u invite the block for a dinner im sure i'd wanna go
to eat some tasty food 
or a criminal if u walk into a restaurant the waiter/ress will keep an eye on you 
make sure that u pay the bill

Yep you're right, dunno about the other careers but I know by the vid that you can be a famous musician and I've read about people in the community comming to see you throw concerts (one of the new vids w Lindsay speaking?)

And I read about the soldier getting his recognition as well.

Same with Arnie and his politician influence before he got fired for stealing from the campaign.
