Re: The Sims 3 City Life Expansion Pack
I think the limit should be higher for famous people (so people can make their own hollywood) an dthere shouldn't be a limit for NPC's, or at least an extremely high one. Come on, through the towns generations there's gonna be LOTS of sims being born, so there might as well not be a limit.
plus, it wouldn't really be fair. there's no limit to how many families you can have. (as far as I know anyway) |

Re: The Sims 3 City Life Expansion Pack
There can only be 60 Sims in one N-Hood, so I set the numbers low

Re: The Sims 3 City Life Expansion Pack
Ninety? That's STILL Bad!!
Ther wasn't any maximum amount in the sims 2, was there? (in sims 1 there was, cause there was the limited number of houses, times 8.) That's stupid. What happens when you reach the amount? your uncontrollable sims stop having babies, and your town eventually dies out? |

Your town won't die out, because its seamless aging, and all the teens and whatnot will grow up to be the new population, also the elders will all die and free up some space |

Re: The Sims 3 City Life Expansion Pack
It's because of that seamless aging that the town may experience low population. (or possibly die out)
Lets say you have a population of 90 sims. Because of that, townies will stop having babies. Now this wont affect the population now, but it will affect it later. Once your towns teens grow up, and the elders die, then the town will start having babies again, but after that the town will have a shortage of (probably) children, because of the stopping of reproduction before, then once those non-existant children grow up, then a large portion of the adult population will dissappear, and over a few generations, that can cause a population decline, or even a population killoff. Oooh, an apocalypse would be cool! But anyway, if that was a limit of townies then it would be allright, if they added a Create-a-townie option, so you can fill in those missing generations. Re: The Sims 3 City Life Expansion Pack
Oh. thank god! I couldn't live with 90 sims in the whole neighbourhood! And the ninety lots will soon expand. The editing road and creating towns thingie will be coming out a couple of moths afterwards, so i'm not worried about that!
