Re: RELEASE DATE; June 2nd 2009!
this shmekin' sucks, on one hand. {glare} I'm disappointed.
on the other hand, we should be glad because they have the opportunity to add new features, traits and options to make the game more impressive and more realistic. and don't throw rocks at me now, but this is it. I see the bright side of it. |

I see a bright side too, that they will add way more better things into the game, but I'm still disappointed and sad now .

Re: RELEASE DATE; June 2nd 2009!
I admire everyone who sees the bright side of this.
Personally, I don't feel like this delay will make anything better, or that they'll add new things. People expect a little too much out of delays. Maybe I'll change me mind when I hear WHY they delayed the game. Sims 2 got delayed for a reason I understand, I'm still clueless as to why the Sims 3 needs to be delayed by 3 months. It just... doesn't make much sense. And.. I'll have a look for their email now. |

Re: RELEASE DATE; June 2nd 2009!
well this whole delay seems more like a marketing strategy rather than a fix up of the game itself. they said so themself that it's to create the perfect runway for the game.
I find it ridiculous to delay a game simply 'cause of marketing purpouses(sp?) and i'm actually studying marketing. in no way will this do their campagne any good. most retailers are already promoting the game by putting up promotional boxes. or by putting the game on their main page on their site. how is that going to work out? it's the retailers that have been getting customers in their store asking about the release date (especially after the whole delay rumour started) now they're going to have to deal with people cancelling their pre orders and being upset and of course they'll take it out on the retailers. <br /> |

Re: RELEASE DATE; June 2nd 2009!
I just thought this day couldn't get worse.
I'm sick, my shoulders and my back are in pain from numbness from the snow and this delay. Hehe, signatures rhymes with pignatures. x3 |

Re: RELEASE DATE; June 2nd 2009!
They said the delay was for "The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,Â
soooo, they wanted more money, and didn't care about us at all. Â Ben Bell, you were my hero.... {thumbsdown} EDIT: and I am going to cancel my pre-order right now and ask for a EA contact number from EB. now i can worry about more important things...like Ninjas. |
