If you look on the EA website, and go to "order" the CE (http://www.ea.com/games/the-sims-3-collectors-edition). it says Platform: Win/Mac. there's your proof in black and white (:

haha ok thanks. I guess I totally missed the news that it was on both...but I haven't been really paying much attention to that kind of stuff the past few months since I've been really busy. Anyways, that will be super convenient.
Oh, btw, I just looked at my pre-order at gamestop (I'm getting the regular, not the CE) and it said the platform is PC. Have they just not updated thier sims game info or are there CDs that will be made that only work on one or the other? no i do not think so i think that well no i heard on a website that there is a separate version for a mac and a pc

Yes it's true {yes} It was confirmed quite some time ago now but it was never made a big thing at the time and seemed to slip past a lot of people un-noticed, probably because very few actually own a PC as well as a Mac {unsure}
