SecuROM
I keep hearing about SecuROM being on The Sims 3 and everyone being really adamant about not wanting it. What exactly is SecuROM and why is it so bad? {blink}

Re: SecuROM
It's a DVD/CD copy protection product.

Re: SecuROM
But the OFFICIAL released Copies aren't supposed to have it. The LEAKED versions, from what I've heard, do, though.

Re: SecuROM
Why is it such a big deal though...Obviously for those who pirate, I can see why; it makes thinks more difficult. But what about those of us who are going to buy a legit copy, why would it matter if it had SecuROM on it? I've read it causes like...computer problems. o.0

Re: SecuROM
Yeah, they had some serious Issues with SecuROM in TS2. I don't recall much though, I just remember a LOT of unhappy people.

Re: SecuROM
No, there is no SecuROM in the Sims 3 game. That includes the leaked version. Since it's the retail version and will be the same thing everyone else buys on the 2nd.
