Which are the save folders?

Which folders should I backup? "Saves" and "SavedSims" only or are there more?

Saved Sims are the sims you've saved in CAS to the sim bin. Saves are your saved games.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I probably read your question wrong. BUT, I think those are the only two, aside from your "Downloads" and Riverview, if you want/need to back those up. But I haven't backed up my game yet so I can't be too sure.

I did a back up before I uninstalled Sims 3, but wasn't sure which folders were the important ones so I did a back up of Saves, SavedSims, Screenshots, DCCache, WorldCaches, InstalledWorlds, userPresets.package, Downloads and some more... They looked important, but I hope they won't destroy my game when I install it again.  {blush}

Hopefully ^_^ I'm just copying and pasting the whole folder xD I'm going to install the patch and I'm afraid that it'll destory zee game xD

That's what I did and it contained all the folders I mentioned. I did that with Sims 2 too and it worked.

I think userPresets contains the settings you used? I use to copy the screenshots to another folder, both as a back up and so I can do what I want with them.

It might, I have no idea. With my screenshots, I usually move them to a different folder alltogether, but there's always a backup online.
