When does the weather take place in Seasons?
OK, so it is currently Day 1 of winter, and there is no snow! When does the snow normally come? Also what weather comes with each Season, and what day does it start? I have "Snow on the ground" enabled btw. Also how does the thermometer thing work? The trees have lost their leaves and all, but like I put my sim in a swimsuit and made him go outside and nothing happened! Kinda weird.
BTW what is so new in Seasons? Nothing seems new to me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
signature/avvie by [removed] ^_^ |

Re: When does the weather take place in Seasons?
The snow should come within 3 days. The seasons are very random and weather can constantly change so you can't know for sure what the weather will be like. You can check the weather channel on TV but it's not always 100% correct.
Sometimes it snows in Spring too. If you put your Sim outside in a swimsuit in the snow you'll have them get cold pretty quickly. Like, when it's fully snowy [the second layer, not the first layer of snow]. Get them to make snow angels and it'll happen even quicker. Nothing's gonna happen when you put a Sim in it's swimsuit in Autumn 'cause it's not cold enough. Wait for the snow. :] ![]() |

I kinda thought that, but I was wondering if there was something wrong with my game, or if wearing CC does anything. I also didn't know that they had a Weather channel, thanks for telling me that! Again, THANKS! I thought it was my game. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
signature/avvie by [removed] ^_^ |

Re: When does the weather take place in Seasons?
No problem.
![]() Another cool random thing I remember with Seasons. If you catch a fish and leave it on the path outside the house and it's winter and snowy, a penguin can walk up your lot, pick up the fish and eat it. You can chat with him. ![]() That's all I remember for now. XD ![]() |

Re: When does the weather take place in Seasons?
Just build a pond on your lot, I think. An option for fishing should come up when you click on it.
![]() Penguins wont just come for fish, they can walk by randomly, but you improve your chances with the fish thing.

Re: When does the weather take place in Seasons?
When you use the water tool (not the pool tool) to make a little pond the option for fishing comes up automatically if you click somewhere in the water. Also, if your sims get too cold, you can buy the Packets of Hot Cocoa cocoa maker from the appliances mode and that will warm up your sims fast! In the summer if they get over heated - fastest way to cool them down - purchase lemon, orange and apple trees and Stock the Juicer - also available from appliances mode. When they get over heated, have them make the lemonade. And if they come home sick, drink orange juice! They get healthier faster
