Well in the Games for Windows article they explain the whole controlling you sims at wok thing. You dont actually follow your simms into the building and control them directly, instead you can select actions from a menu, like slack off or suck up, or you can except special tasks, in which case you would control your sim directly.  I also imagine though I you run your own business (semi-confirmed at this point, i.e. artists can sell paintings and gardeners can sell goods), then you would control your sims "at work" as you would out of.

I really like the new seamless neighborhood idea. This way you can hopefully visit others sims houses which i liked in the sims. In the Sims 2 i hardly ever went out because in the community lots or vacation lots it would take a while to load. I think this idea is the thing that will make the sims 3 great
