Re: Sims 2 with vista
Cheers for that

Now the thing I have to decide on is do I go for a desk top or a laptop.
I am thinking of the HP G6065

If you want to play The Sims 2, forget the laptop idea, honestly. They're way more expensive and the performance is never great when it comes to games like TS.

But if it's a laptop you want, then a HP seems to be a good choice.

It really sucks with laptops though... especially if you have a laptop that heats up after being used for a long time :-\

Have you tried using something called an intercooler under your laptop? It helps with the overheating issue

My siggy is telling you that I want tornados in Sims 3. It would be cool and fun, trust me!

Re: Sims 2 with vista
Most new laptops should have sufficient cooling systems. If a laptop gets "overheated" from playing The Sims 2, then there's a problem. A Vista laptop has absolutely no problem playing Sims 2 (I have one). And like Sara said, an HP seems like a good choice.

Re: Sims 2 with vista
Cheers for that I have now ordered myself a desktop as I was paying the same price for a laptop and the desktop has more memory so will be handy to have anyway.
Just got the fun and games getting files across,
