What are you thinking right now?

RE: What are you thinking right now?
You can be a little sneaky if you want to deter mosquitos. Cooking with garlic is a good one - the smell goes everywhere & they don't like it (even less if you've been eating it). A fan in the room opposite any opened windows will also creates too much air turbulence for them to fly, forcing them to land ready & await a slippering!

Marigold window boxes or in the garden is recommended as a natural deterrent as apparantly mosquitos dislike the smell. Sohappy

It's so weird how the entire garden has gone from completely bare to in bloom in three days flat with every bumble bee in the district making up for lost time.

RE: What are you thinking right now?
Good tips! I eat plenty of garlic and don't think I can up my dose any further - might start losing friends! Mozzies are not meant to like citrus either, but I've never found that to work.

I quite like the idea of having a ceiling fan, actually - one of those retro-looking ones that is part of a light fitting. Maybe I need to go and live in some nice old hotel where they have that kind of thing.

Marigolds - didn't know that, I would plant some in the garden but I don't live on the ground floor so they might be too far away to do me any good! In fact they might drive the mosquitoes up towards me as they flee the garden!

I love ceiling fans! Not so much the ones with the light fixtures though.

RE: What are you thinking right now?
I'm thinking it's dry enough today for the first time in a week to risk putting a washing out to dry (famous last words).

RE: What are you thinking right now?
I like that you call it "a washing".

I am thinking that it might be dry enough for Minty's washing to go outdoors, but here it's bloody cold and the wind is strong enough to knock you over in the street!

North of the border all verbs are nouned - we're renowned for it! Tongue

There's an ice-cream van outside playing the Benny Hill tune at 100 mph. I am getting a desire to go outside, not for an ice-cream, but to run through the street in a helter-skelter manner while being chased by random others & slapping any small baldy men on the head encountered.

Hehe! Well considering the way people where I'm from talk, I've no room to comment. Smile I'd say "the washing".

I'm thinking I'd like some ice-cream too, even though it's cold here. Mmmmmm, ice-cream.

RE: What are you thinking right now?
I think my family in the sims 3 have scared off the ice cream van considering it never comes outside their place.

That's weird, the ice-cream van won't leave my sims alone! Maybe you could buy them the ice-cream machine so they can make their own. It would be sad for them to miss out.

Good golly Miss Molly, this house feels roasting already. Looks like it's going to be our first scorcher since March.
