Re: reasoning for release in 08
It would, and it might happen if everything goes well with the game.

Re: reasoning for release in 08
I don't think they are following a pattern. The games and expansions come when they are ready and if the players wants them.

Re: reasoning for release in 08
I hope they WILL wait until 2009. EA always rush things, and release games before they've gone through enough beta-testing (or usually any beta-testing at all), which is why the games are always so buggy. Then they use a lot of time trying to figure out where the problems lie, and developing patches, time much better spent developing new and better games. This is very inefficient, and they end up slowing themselves down. And us gamers get sub-standard, prematurely released products. It's because they're cheap and don't want to pay third party beta testers to try out their games. Too bad. I'd do it for free.

Re: reasoning for release in 08
I also think they could release the game by this year but,I guess there rying to stay cautious with saying 09.But I think when Maxis makes anytype of game in the long run they need to work on getting the games out on time.

Maxis isn't involved in The Sims 3. The production team is from EA, not Maxis. Maxis didn't do The Sims 2 Free Time or SimCity Societies either. |

I just hope its like january 2009!! |

I wouldn't say releasing one game after another is a pattern...
