are the graphics really that good?

And seriously, EA does need some fashion sense. Someone suggested (here or on the BBS) that EA collaborate with some of the top CC people to do the fashion. I think that All-About-Style.com is the best option.

What a great world it would be if EA actually listened to its fans *looks off wistfully*.

It probably is a mural, its to big and high for graffiti. Looks kinda like a town picture or something.

I believe that some of what you see in the pictures is artistic rendering. I remember reading that the graphics won't be the biggest step. Obviously they are already in 3D (sims). In the original they were flat. I think that in Sims 3 they are paying more attention to detail (wrinkles, dimples, eyes, mouth, skin, freckles, etc.).

Have you seen the new comparison shots over at Snooty's? It only makes me love the graphics in TS3 more. They really are a bigger step up then I realised.
