I think there should be a chance to get pregnant without trying for a baby. I mean unplanned pregnancies do happen. I think it would make the game interesting.
As for the twins.. haha.. I never had a set until I made her eat cheesecake. She had one set. I then decided to get her pregnant again, just wanted a single one. She didn't eat cheesecake nor spagetti (as I heard that made them pregnant too) and voila.. there were two more.
I think that 10% for twins and 2% for triplets would be pretty good odds.

In TS3, you may not be quite so fortunate (or unfortunate, in you opinion
) with your odds of twins... and then, when you realise how terribly rare they are, you will see why I chose the odds I did. I'm with Sims2luva22 about the twins - Love them too!
And I got them rarely too. I only like to get them naturally - they don't feel quite so special with the aid of cheesecake and cheats.

I was reading real life statistics and they said that the chances of having twins increases dramatically with age. Maybe we could reach a compromise (not that the developers care), that sims in the second half of their adult life would have much higher odds, and then I could just avoid getting my sims pregnant then, unless I wanted twins.

I've read all about twin odds too - do you find it odd that eating figgs increases your chances of twins lol?
But yes, maybe they could flow more with real life.
Such as, twin odds increased if:
Twins run in your family/related to a twin
Middle aged or older
Tall or fat (yes, these things improve your chances - odd)
And maybe a few Sim ways to improve odds, designed specifically for the game.

I would like to see twins and up be more common...
because imaybe had a set of twins twice..
and with cheats well its not the same..i dont wanna choose to have twins i want it to be merely by chance.
cheats take the fun and surprise out of everything i would really appreciate not having to use any in this game.

Exactly! Cheating, although some times neccessary, it really does take the fun out of the game - that's why I love it when we first get the game. Not many cheats will be around, and asolutely no mods to download, so things will be tough! But I look forward to it

Yeah i hope i never get nosey and search for them i wanna play the game as it was meant to be played without cheats..
I guess i'll survive if twins are merely impossible again..but i would prefer a boost in the possibility of them.

Well... if twins are as rare as they are now, and they also add triplets to the game, that means I'll have how many natural triplets in my TS3 gaming experience? Oh, that's right... none! :

Reading all the replys made me wonder.
I think it would be cool if EAxis took an even bigger leap and went out on a limb with paternal twins. I'm talking skinny, short, fat, brown haired and one with blonde etc. Like in real life, not just a boy and a girl.
I also want them to have different traits since most twins identical or not like seperate things (as not to be looked at as the same)
I'd also want them to have a greater bond or not but to notice that they are twins. I don't want it to be too complicated if it can't be done but if so, I'd want this.
This whole game is going to be very interesting, especially with dealing with a family with different traits! I think with a fanmily with a variety of traits will better suit us to understanding them. That way we know which is weak, a ton of fun etc so we can pair them up the way we like them, or link sims up with other sims with complimenting traits to create better offspring.

yeah i agree i think that twins should be seen as twins..not just two sims that are related if that makes sense..i want other sims to know that they are identical and all that.

I hope the chances of fraternal twins are much greater, and then a much lesser chance of identical, like in the real world. And I want them to have that twin-bond, too. Especially girl twins in particular. It would be lovely if some could be best friends, always together and sticking out for each other. I want them to sometimes be able to sense how the other twin is feeling, or when they're havimg a bad time.
