Further more, Spong.com was told that February 3, EA will give an official statement about the delay.

So I guess tomorrow is the big day. I hope it will be announced by the time I get home so I don't have to wait around, but by the time I get home its about 7:45am over at EA, and they usually send the press releases around 9am? I think? I have no clue. Pay no attention! Meh, I guess there might be some waiting for me to do. XD
You should perhaps just ignore this post because it's probably like all wrong. XD

Yes, I don't think it will be delayed but prepare for the worst everyone just in case!
If it is, this really isn't fair because its so close tp the release. Then again ea kind of have been disappointing this whole time so it won't surprise me. I do know that I highly doubt it will be too far delayed with the ce car cc. I think the latest was march or so.

At least with Sims 2, even though it was delayed a whole 6 months, they let us know way in advance. There was't even a set release date when they told us it would be delayed, other than it was supposed to be released in March time. Then it got delayed to May I think, then finally September? But they gave us the BodyShop to play with as a little 'sorry' present, which I thought was nice.
The fact that they're planning to delay a game so close to its release date doesn't exactly impress me, but, meh... what can you expect? I just hope it's only delayed by a week or 2, at most a month. And if it's any longer, I hope we get a little 'gift' to compensate.

More news about the Sims 3 delay can be expected in about a day. For Europeans, this will be quite late at 23:00 (For UK, 22:00). EA's press site, posted this as there will be an Earnings Conference Call at 2:00 PT USA time.
Note that these times are for the starting time of the meeting. The info about what will be said there may be revealed several hours later.

aw well that just sucks a bit.
Now during my Psychology class I'll be checking every two minuets. I was hoping it would be up today before twelve.
