Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
I want to see if Mortimer is a cutie in real life, if of course they base it on the original Sims, and if it involves human actors and actresses.

I'd never thought I'd hear myself fancying Mortimer Goth, a Sim... although techinaclly, he won't be. :-\

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
it sounds kind of cheesy to me..like it would be a waste of money to create a movie on it..
i know i might be alone on this one..but..it sounds like a horrible idea for a movie..
but then again..maybe if i knew more details about the movie and what will be in it and who would star in it etc..i might change my mind.
just depends i suppose..

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
wow... um.... just wow...
um... the game is awesome because we have the option to do whatever we want and play whatever we want. the interactive element is whats captured the people's interest.

but.. a movie? watfooxteh?!?!?!?!

i am not impressed.

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
As I said before, I don't like this idea at all.

I can't really see a reason for making a The Sims movie. Almost every movie out there could be a "Sims movie" since we can do a lot of things using the game.
They'll be using the characters we already had in the game; but is that really necessary? Honestly, those characters my be fun, but it's not like their background stories are "omgz awesome". At least most Sims players don't even care about them.

If we see, let's say, people doing the laundry, I know it's going to look bad; at least they better use wisely the limitations we had in the game.

As geosdsd said, the point of The Sims is that it is interactive. I don't see how they can pull that of in the movie.

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
I think the movie idea is awesome. When I first heard about it, I was like what is going on in these people's heads?? But when I heard the plot I changed my mind.

I just can't believe they're going to have real actors for the sims. I think thats really dumb. An important part of the sims is how they're kinda quirky looking and do funny things all the time. If they're actors its not going to have that effect. Why would they attach The Sims to it, if they aren't going to be any sims?!?

Imagine if the "actors" were to speak simlish and the movie was subbed... xD

Well, nobody knows for certain that it's going to be real actors, right? It's just a guess. It's going to be extremely hard to portray an actual, real-life movie through The Sims though. Pehaps this is a sign that movie-making in TS3 is reaching a new level?

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
Then what turns me off is the fact that they start suspecting that they are being controlled.  Why can't they just live the life of people.  In the game, they do not feel controlled.  They are living like people.

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
I don't know... I quite like that aspect of the film. Smile It seems most people aren't impressed with this idea (the film in general). I suppose we will have to wait and see. I mean, you never know, do you? It could be the next big thing! {yes}

Yes, I know it's doubtful. {rolleyes}

Re: The Sims Movie (2009)
no i read that it was real actors
and they are going to think life is perfect until they notice everyone lies cheats steals etc all of a sudden and that they are being controlled by higher power which is us
which sounds totally lame in my opinion..
it sounds like it will be a flop
